Building an e-commerce website — what does it entail? Again, don’t let me go into that harangue of telling you guys that this task is something only 21-year old eggheads in stiff white collars can do. You would either need a little of their help or search online for a reliable company that offers a package of services for high risk merchant account owners. And if you got lucky on the latter, you still would need to create a checklist on which elements you need to prioritize for your website. I’m talking about the bare bones. After you have decided on those, it’s time to figure out whether to add some fancy stuff on your website or keep things simple.

So what elements should you consider added on your e-commerce website? If you’ve published a book before (not e-book, but if you want to go into that detail, see my article “Homemade Remedy for Download Theft”), most likely you’d already be familiar with the steps you need to take from the time you’ve conceived the story to the moment it’s out in the bookstore shelves. Yes, you would need an endorsement from celebrities, too! Remember Harvey Mackay’s “Swim With The Sharks Without Being Eaten Alive”? Well yeah, that one’s a classic.

Web copy, layout and other visuals, e-commerce elements, marketing elements, and customer service tools, are some of the basic stuff you need to incorporate in your e-commerce website. Each one of these elements come with its own set of structure that would also require a bit of search engine friendliness or better yet, full-blown SEO campaign.

THE WEB COPY

For your e-commerce website’s copy, consider the number of pages. Major search engines such as Google usually favor more webpages but be careful about using Javascript or adding frames. The simpler the structure of your text pages are, the better. Do not forget adding basics such as “About Us” or product description pages. When it comes to adding extra content such as blogs and RSS news feeds, the more optimized for the search engines (using keywords, backlinks, etc.) the better. You would also need the help of a flexible database so that each time you add new product or text elements, the storage can be extended. Administration area for uploading text content should be user-friendly.

IMAGES AND FLASH CLIPS

Images are important for your e-commerce website but be selective in handling them. Look into how they will improve your catalog or shopping cart before you assign your web designer into building elaborate Flash intro pages, logos, or banners for affiliate programs or other online marketing campaigns. Image incorporation can be expensive. Worse, they are not often crawled by Google’s spiders anyways. Also, the heavier the image files in your e-commerce website, the longer the loading time, the harder it is to retain customers who go by split second click-browse shopping method.

SHOPPING CART

Setting up the shopping cart itself requires the help of a good programmer but you can always make use of osCommerce. The important thing is that you are able to handle credit card payment processing with the aid of a low risk or a high risk merchant account provider. Your shopping cart has to be user-friendly enough to foster a good online shopping experience for your customers.

CUSTOMER SERVICE ADD-ONS

For a good discussion of customer service tools you need to add in your e-commerce website, see “7 Best Tools for First Rate Customer Service”. The key here is to provide interactivity measures for your customers to learn more of their buying tendencies, suggestions for improvement, inquiries, and above all, a way to reach them via mailing lists! Shouldn’t be complicated. When these foundations are built, you’re all set to sail in the gritty world of e-commerce industry.
rafting

Searching for the best shopping cart software for you ecommerce website can be a daunting task. There are literally hundreds of carts and ecommerce solutions available. How do you know which one is right for you?

You should consider the following factors when you are searching for a shopping cart that fits your needs.

What is a shopping cart? How much does it cost? Should I buy or lease a cart? What Features Should I Look For? What Kind and How Much Support Does will I get? Which Payment Gateways Work with the Cart? What Hosting/Server Platform is Required? What if I Need Customization?
What is a Shopping Cart?

First, let me define a shopping cart or ecommerce website. In the most basic terms, a shopping cart is software that allows you to list your products on a web site and then automatically collect fees when a customer buys products from your website.

For example, lets say that you sell vitamins from your home, and now you want to start selling them on your website. First, you need shopping ecommerce software. You will also need to have a business bank account and a payment gateway, a service that allows you to automatically process credit cards on your web site.

Once you have the cart software set up on your website, you can add your vitamin products to the website using a web browser. The software allows you to add product images, descriptions, prices, shipping and tax rates, and so on. Once your cart is populated with all of your products, you can start selling them on the web.

Here’s how it works: A customer comes to your web site and adds products to her shopping cart. When she is ready to buy the products, she enters her shipping and credit card information in a form so you know where to ship the product and whom to charge it to. When the customer clicks the button to submit the order, the shopping cart uses your payment gateway (credit-card-processing service) to validate the credit card and then transfer the money from the customer’s credit card to your bank account. Then it’s up to you to ship the product.

You can also use a shopping cart to sell digital, or downloadable products such as electronic books, music, and software.

How Much Do Shopping Carts Cost?

As you might expect, shopping carts come in a wide range of prices, from free to thousands of dollars. Does that mean that the more you spend, the better cart you get? Not necessarily.

There are several free shopping carts that are very powerful and full of features; for example, OSCommerce and ZenCart. Both of these carts are completely free and offer most of the features you would expect in a modern shopping cart: unlimited products, connections to the major payment gateways, credit card payments, real-time shipping prices, discount customer groups, multi language, and more.

Unfortunately, there is a downside to free: free products lack good documentation and support. For example, there is no official support group that you can call when you need help. And there is no official user’s guide to explain how to use the software. You usually have to search through user forums to find answers to your questions.

Free shopping carts are probably not be the best choice if you are new to ecommerce and are trying to do everything yourself.

Fortunately, there are many commercial carts in the range of $100-500 that offer lots of features. The carts in this range usually have some kind of support system to help you with problems, and they usually have documentation to explain how to use their software. X-Cart and Ecommerce Templates are two carts between $150 – $200, and both are very powerful and relatively easy to use.

Should I Buy or Lease a Shopping Cart?

There are two basic models for online shopping carts:

Pay a one time fee for the software and install it on your web server: This can be a daunting task unless you are comfortable working with Linux web servers and configuring web-based software. The good thing about this model is that you don’t have to pay monthly fees, and the software is usually much more customizable than leased shopping carts. If you have the skills to install the software on your server, or if you hire a website designer to install and configure your shopping cart, this method is more economical than leasing. Pay a monthly or yearly fee to lease the software: This model is easy to implement because you don’t need to install, configure, or maintain any software. If you are going to do it yourself and have little web experience, this is the easiest way to get started. The downside is that leased software is often hard to customize and many ecommerce sites need some customization. Furthermore, it can be very expensive when you add in the cost of leasing over many years.
What Shopping Cart Features Should I Look For?

Most shopping carts come with standard features like unlimited categories and products, web-based administration, easy-to-use product creation screens, and tax and shipping calculation. Unfortunately, not all carts include all the functions YOUR business will need to operate an online store.

The following is a list of features to look for in a shopping cart:

Installation and Design

Easy-to-use web interface: A web interface allows you to administer your shopping cart from any web browser that is connected to the internet. Shopping Cart Reporting: The ability to get detailed reports about your sales, inventory, states, users, categories, products, destination zones, taxes, shipping rates, orders, membership levels, etc. Multiple Languages: The ability to display multiple languages in your shopping cart Customer Support: Most carts usually provide email or forum-based support, but sometimes they provide live phone support. Upgradeable: Find out if you can get free updates as the software is improved. Usually you can get free updates for 6 to 12 months. Template-based Design: Tempate-based designs make it easier to customize the look of your website WYSIWYG Editor for Products: This feature allows you to enter product text and images using a word-processor-like editor. Content Pages: Does your cart allow you to create content pages? For example, can you create an “About Us” page? Mini-Cart: A mini cart is a small box that indicates if the user has items in their shopping cart. These are usually located on the top or side of the page. Most carts have this feature.
Customer Features

Newsletter Function: Do you need to ability to send mass emails to your customers? Many carts come with the ability to send emails to customers. Customer Order / Customer Account / Customer Registration: The ability for your customers to view their account and their order history. Product Search: A search tool for your products. This function is especially helpful if you have more than 20 or 30 products. Googlecheckout: Google Checkout is a new service that makes online shopping faster, safer and more convenient. Many carts have been updated so they work with Google Checkout. Wish list: A “Wish List” allows your customers to save products to a wish list. That way they can come back to your online store at a later date and buy the products in the Wish List. Send to friend: This feature displays a form that allows customer to enter a name and email address so the can send a link of a product to a friend. Memberships and special pricing: This feature allows you to create memberships on your store and then give them special prices or discounts. Printable Invoices: The feature allows your customers to print their invoices. Multiple Shipping Addresses: The feature allows customers to store multiple shipping addresses. This is a handy feature for customer who often ship gifts to friends and family members.
Store and Products

Unlimited Number of Products: This feature means you can list as many products as you like. With many leased shopping carts, the total number of products is limited by your plan. The more you pay, the more you products you can list. Unlimited number of categories: Products are usually stored in categories; for example, Men’s Clothing, Women’s Clothing, Children’s clothing. Products can be assigned to multiple categories: This feature allows you to assign a product to more than one category. Featured Products: This feature allows you to list feature products in a box or area on your home page. Bestsellers: This feature automatically lists your best-selling products. Related products: This feature allows you to relate one product to another product so the customer can see products that are related to the product they are looking at. Unlimited product options and option price modifiers: This feature allows you to add options to products, and the options can add or subtract from the product price. For example, T-Shirts come in sizes Small, Medium, and Large and colors Red, Green, and Blue. Custom Input Fields for Products: This allows you to add fields to products. For example, if you sell custom greeting cards, you can use a custom field so the customer can enter a custom message to be printed on the card. Unlimited number of product images: This feature allows you to add more than one product image for a product. Popup Product Images: This feature allows you to add popup images so your customer can see a larger, more detailed product image. Manufacturers: This feature allows you to associate manufacturers with products. Drop Shippers: This feature allows you to sell products that another company stocks and ships. When your store receives an order for a drop shipper product, the shopping cart sends an email to the drop shipper with the product and shipping information and that company ships the product to your customer. Discount coupon codes and gift certificates: This feature allows you to sell gift certificates or to offer coupon discounts. Inventory control: This feature allows you to enter the number of products you have in stock and then automatically makes a product “Unavailable” when there are no more products in stock. Quantity discounts: This feature allows you to give discounts based on the quantity ordered. Retail and wholesale price: This feature allows you to create a wholesale and retail price for any product. Limit minimal order amount: The feature allows you to specify and minimum order amount. Real-time USPS, FedEx and UPS shipping calculation: This feature allows you to provide realtime shipping calculations for USPS, FedEx, and UPS. Shipping Label Generator for USPS and UPS Allow your customers to choose delivery methods: This feature allows your customers to select a delivery method; for example, USPS, FedEx, or UPS. Add handling fee: This feature allows you to add a handling fee per order. Digital Electronic Downloads: This feature allows you to sell digital products such as E-Books, Music, or Software. Once a customer purchases a digital product, the cart sends them an email with a link to download the digital product. Product-specific taxes: The feature allows you to charge a unique tax on any product. Payment Gateways: This feature is VERY important. Most carts support many different payment gateways; for example, Authorize.net, Paypal, or 2CheckOut. If you already have a payment gateway, make sure the cart you purchase supports your gateway. The ability to Optimize all pages for search engines: This important feature allows you to optimize your product and content pages for Google, Yahoo, MSN, and other search engines. This is a VERY important feature; if the search engines can’t find your products, your customers can’t find them either. Multiple Administrator Accounts and Account Levels: This feature allows you to have multiple administration accounts. This feature is very handy if more than one person maintains your shopping cart.
What Kind and How Much Support Does the Shopping Cart Provide?

Shopping cart software and ecommerce is pretty complex and there are many opportunities for problems. Whatever shopping cart model you choose, be sure to consider amount and type of support offered by the leasing host or the software seller. Because a smooth operation of your website and shopping cart are necessary for financial success, you’ll want to have appropriate support for emergencies.

Which Payment Gateways Work with the Shopping Cart?

If you are going to use a leased shopping cart, or you are going to buy shopping cart software, find out which payment gateways will work with the shopping cart.

Note: Each shopping cart provider builds their own interfaces for payment gateways.

What Hosting/Server Platform is Required?

Will your website and shopping cart be hosted on a Linux / UNIX server or a Windows server? If you are going to use a hosted shopping cart, you probably don’t need to worry about this unless you already have other web-based software applications installed on your current web host.

If you are going to buy shopping cart software, your choice might be limited by your server choice. Currently there are many more shopping carts made for Linux / UNIX than for windows.

What if I Need Customization?

Every shopping cart I have installed, designed, and configured, has required some customization. In most cases, the client wanted to do something the cart did not do. For example, one client wanted the ability to send a custom email with specific products so he could send special instructions whenever a customer ordered a specific product. A few shopping carts have this ability, but most don’t.

The best solution is to first determine your specific requirements and then find a cart that fits your needs. Unfortunately, it’s hard to find a cart that does EVERYTHING you want it to do. If this is the case, you’ll need to have some custom development done to add a new function to the cart.

Keep in mind that many popular shopping carts have dozens of Modifications and Plugins that you can add to the shopping cart software to make it fulfill your requirements.

Note: If you use a leased shopping cart, you will probably not be able to make modifications to the software.
amazon coupon code

There are many reasons why people want to add a Flash videos to their blog sites. Maybe they want to introduce their website and products to their visitors, use as a training aid, show a webinar or simply show the new baby to distant relatives. What ever reason, website videos are used more and more every day.

If you have a real estate agency what could be better than a walk through tour of a property, a walk through of a yacht if you are a yacht broker or tours of sports clubs, hotels, workshops or what ever product you want potential customers to see.

You can hardly visit YouTube or Google Video to find a video about your hotel or sports club, you will have to make your own video or have it made for you. But let’s not talk about hotels and sports clubs, lets talk about you and the eBook or software program that you want to promote which is the reason lots of us have.

To get Flash video up and running we need to download some files and prepare our site. So lets get started now.

Step One: Preparing your site.

There are several plugins available for embedding flash video on your website, some are better than others and some are more user friendly. WP-FLV is one, FLV Embed is another and WordTube is the one that we will be using here. Visit the site, read up on the plugin and download it. Unpack the zip file and upload the folder into the WordPress plugins folder. Note do not change the folder names. You will also need the free (for personal use) Flash Media Player from Jeroen Wijering. Download the player from the website, unzip it and upload only the mediaplayer.swf into the wordtube folder. Activate the plugin.

Go to your admin area, then Options->Manage->wordTube to set up the options. You can use the default upload folder or change it to another such as /wp-content/videos. You can upload your files via Manage->Media Center. Note for streaming videos the Flash player will not show a preview, therefore you need also to upload a image (thumbnail) file. After uploading your video you can insert the tag [MEDIA=ID] into your post where you wish the embedded Flash video to be displayed. ID is the number of the video in the Media Centre. Make sure that you use UPPPER case otherwise it will not work.
About the Author: cloud law

Most church websites are lame. Why? While 65% of Churches now have a site, most of these drive little to no visitors to their churches. This is a missed opportunity, since the vast majority of people under 35 go to the internet not the Yellow Pages FIRST when looking for a church. So what good is having a church website if only the pastor and the board surfs to it? I think you no the answer to that one.

The major problem is that most church websites are not search engine friendly. And if you’re is not listed high in places like Google and Yahoo, you will get no traffic. And no traffic means no guests checking out your place of worship on Sunday.

The solution to the “church website blues” is to get your website search engine optimized (SEO) so that seekers can actually find your church web site when do a search for a place of worship in your area. How do you do this? The answer is simple. Use a blog like Wordpress to run your church website. Based on our own own personal experiences as a Christian webmaster and church planter, I have had several blogging websites (including this one) using blogging tools like Wordpress that have had tremendous success attracting and keeping guests. Isn’t that what a church website should be all about? Below we list several great reasons (I could have listed more) why a church should use a blog format for its church website .

Wordpress comes free with many inexpensive affordable web hosting packages. So why spend hundreds and even thousands of dollars on church website designs when you have at your fingertip a blogging platform like this? Most all of the cheap web hosting providers (average cost between $4 and $8 dollars per month) give you access to Wordpress through Fantastico in their control panels. Please think twice before signing a web hosting contract with a Christian web hosting company.

Not a techie? No problem because Wordpress is a one click installation with Fantastico. No HTML or PHP knowledge needed. Writing content and putting in images is just like using your old fashioned word processor. If you need help with your blogging church website, there are tons of Wordpress tutorials and an amazing support forum as well.

The really cool thing about WP is that it functions as a content management system (CMS), which simply means that you can give it the appearance of a regular Church website, while reaping all the benefits a blog (see below) brings to the table. Wordpress has hundreds and hundreds of free templates (they call them themes) to choose from for making your church website have the exact look and feel you want.

Another reason to use WP is that it makes your site Search Engine Optimized Out of the Box. That’ means way better search engine rankings…which means…you got it more visitors coming to your church website…which means more guests at your services. You don’t need to know ANYTHING about how search engines work because Wordpress “pings” the search engines automatically for you, letting them know you have new content and RSS feeds for them to index. Furthermore, instead of waiting weeks and even months for the search engines spiders from Yahoo and Google to index your static church website pages, your blog will get indexed in a matter of a few days.

Most church websites out there just ooze old…and irrelevant. Blogs are the here and now, and using one as a church website will convey newness, hipness and relevancy to the young families, the Gen X and Gen Y types you should be targeting if you want to reach people for Jesus AND see your church to grow. OK, I promised I wouldn’t preach.

Wordpress plugins like PodPress make it a snap to put all kinds of multi-media on your church website without any added costs and very little knowledge needed. Imagine having all your messages neatly indexed, categorized and online for all to enjoy. I actually have a few podcasts right here on my site. Believe me, it’s not rocket science. If I can do it…a monkey can as well Using multimedia like a podcasts you will geometrically grow your ministry reach. On my other Christian outreach site (see our about page) that’s less than 2 years old, I already reach 90,000 people a month. Are we excited yet?

How to Get the Blogging Your Church Website? Actually all you need to do is shop around for and affordable and reliable web hosting company that has blogging tools like Wordpress.Good luck.
wine reviews

The data tracks in LTO-4 and LTO-3 are 704 and that of ultrium-2 data tracks are 512. The IBM LTO 4 tape drive has new mechanism for the tape’s guidance along tape path. This new mechanism is “surface control guiding” and is patented by IBM. For controlling the tape motion, this new mechanism uses the tape’s surface instead of the edges. In this way the tape debris & tape damage most importantly of the tape edges are reduced. MR (Magneto Resistive) head design is used in the IBM ultrium4 tape drive for the purpose of minimizing the debris accumulation, contact and tape’s wear because of its movement over write/read heads.

The IBM LTO-4 drive has the new technology that matches dynamic speed at any of the 6 speeds of 30MB/sec, 48MB/sec, 66MB/sec, 84MB/sec, 103MB/sec, or 120MB/sec. This speed matching is done for the adjustment of native data speed of the tape drive as close as possible with the net data rate of the host. The host’s net data speed is that which is achieved after the factoring out of data compressibility. So, the performance improves and back hitch repositions also reduce. The range of speed matching on the ultrium4 is 30MB/sec to 120MB/sec and that of ultrium3 is 30MB/sec to 80MB/sec. The components of IBM LTO-4 drive are robust that are best for the automation environments.

The components that increase the life and reliability of the IBM tape drive are the single circuit card, metal clutch, design of leader block and the ball bearings of steel in the loader. The power management mechanism of IBM ultrium4 drive controls the electronics of the tape drive. The electronics of tape drive will either turn off completely in mode of low power when there is no need of circuit functions for the drive operation.

In IBM drive the multiple file-marks are written separately that contains all the file marks afterwards the first. The advantages of this feature are that it helps to enhance the performance in case if the subsequent append is overwritten somewhere afterwards the first file mark, and the multiple file marks indicate the point where the append operation can take place after 1st of file marks. So, the users can avoid from rewriting the data sets that contain first file mark & the customer’s data in case if such type of append occurs.

IBM ultrium drive has the data compression (LTO-DC) technology which is the implementation of data compression LZ1 Lempel-Ziv class1 algorithm. Extension of the ALDC (Adaptive Loss less Data Compression) is the LTO-DC algorithm. Scheme-Swapping is also patented by IBM, it looks ahead at the data incoming and determines the storage method that is most efficient (pass threw mode or ALDC). Therefore, the data throughput is increased and offers optimal compression of data.

The LTO data cartridge has a cartridge memory which is contact-less and passive storage device of silicon. It is physical part of LTO tape cartridge. The LTO cartridge memory holds the information about data on media and that specific cartridge’s media. The cartridge memory has capacity of 8K bytes. The tape drive transmits a RF-field of low level to the cartridge. This RF-field helps the communication between LTO-CM & the tape drive.

Joomla is a popular web content management system used for various types of websites, from small homepages to medium size corporate pages. Joomla is free open-source script based on PHP language. This means that there are no static HTML pages, each page has to be rendered from the data in the MySQL database, template and various extensions. This makes it very flexible.

However, this approach has one big drawback. The rendering takes tame. Every time the page is requested, Joomla has to create it from scratch. For each request there are a lot of database queries, file reads and scripts processed. Depending on server load the page creation process can slow down loading in browser which can lead to bad user experience. Pages that load slowly are not visited frequently. As soon as the page does not load in expected time, users navigate to the next website.

The simplest way to speed up Joomla websites is to use caching. This is a process for storing created pages to files which are loaded on next requests for the same page. Caching significantly reduces time to load pages. There are two settings for caching in Joomla. One in global configuration and one as a cache plugin.

The main cache setting is on the global configuration page. Here you can enable it and set cache time. This time is important because it also defines the time after which users will get new content if it has changed since their last visit. This setting affects caching of individual modules and component views. Each time some part of the website is rendered it is also saved to a file for later reuse. This file is kept for the time specified in cache settings, default value is 15 minutes. For each module you have also individual setting regarding caching. You can either use the the global website setting or switch off caching of particular module. Polls, rotating banners and highly dynamic content should not be cached.

The second setting is a system cache plugin. If enabled, this plugin caches whole pages. Here you can also define the time after which cached pages will expire. This setting can significantly increase website performance since each page will be rendered only once during the lifetime of the cache file. However, if the content of your pages is dynamic and changes from one visitor to another, then you will probably have to disable this type of caching.

There is also an additional global setting for faster data transfer: GZIP page compression. If enabled, each page is compressed before it is sent to the browser. This is an additional improvement for faster loading.

Joomla provides many nice and fancy features. Unfortunately, each additional element increases page creation time. Joomla caching options can significantly reduce page loading times and contribute to better user experience.

personalized favors

During the past ten years, the Internet has changed the way people buy houses and the way real estate agents and brokers do business. The Internet makes it easy for home buyers to quickly to sort lists of available properties in their local area and provide them with a combination of written information, photos and virtual tours. Large national real estate firms such as Realtor.com and ReMax operate web sites that furnish access to real estate listings across the country.

A consumer in the market to purchase a new home can quickly search available properties, 24 hours a day from the comfort of their own home. No longer do potential buyers have to contact a real estate agent to see local homes that meet the buyers situation. Today, with a simple online search, home buyers can easily find a real estate listings for houses that meet their needs. In most situations home buyers can obtain specifics of the listing, view photographs of the home and in some case take a virtual tour online before they contact a real estate agent to arrange a viewing.

Based on a study conducted by the National Association of Realtors, in 2007 nearly 84% of all home buyers utilized the Net while looking for real estate. This figure has virtually doubled since 2001 and is up considerably from the 2% of all home buyers who used the Internet in 1995. More important is the fact that almost 82% of these buyers used a real estate agent to complete their purchase.

These numbers show how necessary it is that real estate agents and brokers have be visible online. If future home buyer finds a property of interest on-line, it is important that they can quickly contact the listing agent through the same page or via the agents website.

One of the biggest on-line real estate resources is Realtor.com, this internet site is operated by the National Association of Realtors. Realtor.com provides over two million real estate listings. One of the features Realtor.com offers is the ability to provide contact information and a link to the listing agents website. Realtor.com is an excellent example of how the internet can be used as a well-formatted marketing and product presentation tool.

Online Marketing for Real Estate Agents

In todays market place it is necessary that every real estate agent or broker have a personal internet site that at the very minimum provides a future client with the agents contact information. More sophisticated internet sites can often be easily set up to provide supplementary listing information and pictures of available properties. Every web site should include phone numbers, office address and email address for the agent. Remember, the key to any successful real estate website is to make it easy for the home buyer to contact the real estate agent.

Other outstanding way to promote any real estate business is a blog. Blog is short for “weblogs” and are one of most efficient online marketing tools. A blog allows you to discuss your local market or specific listings as well as providing a method to market yourself and share your thoughts on the real estate industry.

Social Networking or Web 2.0 sites is the latest online marketing phenomenon to have emerged in many areas of business today. Online social networking is rapidly gaining popularity within the real estate industry.

So what is Social Networking?

Online social networking is a internet based community that allows people with similar interests discuss, contact and interact with each other. Members of these social networks can send messages to other member, chat, post video, share files and post to blogs. Some of the most popular social networking sites include Twitter, LinkedIn, MySpace, Real Estate Voices and Zolve

Hosting your website

Regardless of the marketing methods plan to use, you must have a professional, informative website that connects the buyer and real estate agent together. It is important for a realtor to consider the following when selecting a web hosting company.

What type of web site do you plan to develop? Are you planning a simple brochure site that just provides information, or one that offers listings and virtual tours or a blog. If you are planning to offer customers virtual tours of your property listings you should select a web host who understands the technology behind “virtual tours” and offers web hosting plans that provide the features and bandwith that allows them to be included in the website.

When considering any web hosting company, the first thing you should look at is where you want your online business to be in the future. Look at things like, how much traffic do you expect? How many sites do you plan to build? What type of server software will you be using? Do you require a dedicated IP address? Once you have established your needs you can begin looking at web hosting companies.

Generally a successful real estate website will also provide potential buyers with more information on a property than is available through the national MLS listing. The realtor’s web site should be comprehensive, personable, and provide clients with as many options as possible.

With the popularity of the Internet nowadays, getting a website is highly essential for any business owner. If you want to maximize on the income-earning potential of your business, it is important that you acquire and maintain a veritable online presence. In order to do this, you need to have a working website on the Internet. It is also important to find cheap web hosting, especially if you are just starting out online. Your site needs to have excellent e-commerce tools, valuable in selling and marketing on the web. To achieve this, it is necessary that you find a reliable, yet affordable web hosting provider.

One of the key factors you need to consider when searching for a hosting provider is customer service. The problem with many low-priced web hosting services is that they are unable to provide top quality customer or help desk support to their clients. This is the very reason why some people don’t want to risk getting a cheap web hosting solution. Some hosting providers require that you pay them only a small fee, in exchange for poor bandwidth and even more inferior client support services. Should your site experience problems in the middle of the night, you will need a web host company that can attend to your concerns, as soon as possible.

Therefore, not only should you consider on the up time guarantees and the e-commerce tools and features offered by the hosting company, you also need to make sure that they offer prompt and effective client support, 24/7. Although an affordable web hosting company will allow you to save on hosting fees, whether on a monthly or annual basis, you should not compromise on reliable customer support. The hosting company needs to be able to resolve problems quickly and efficiently, without having to cause unnecessary problems on the part of the client or the website owner.

When it comes to finding inexpensive web hosting with the best customer service offerings, you need to make a comprehensive search first. You can ask around for suggestions from more experience web business owners, or you can get tips from your trusted colleagues. Since there are reviews and testimonials typically found on the web and on the site of hosting companies, you can read up on these, too. Many hosting company sites also have a FAQ page that you can peruse, as you deem necessary.

You will be able to find many cheap hosting packages from a number of providers online. You can even find a provider that requires only a minimal fee of less than $10 per month. The more important thing however is to determine whether the company provides exceptional support to their clients on an ongoing basis. Even when you have top of the line e-commerce tools, but don’t have access to important hosting support, it will be difficult for you to manage your web business whenever server and connection problems arise.
